About Us
We are 15 minutes west of Union, WV on the Knobs mountin at 2300 ft. Our 180 acre farm prodominately has a southwest exposure and our 4 county view alludes to our great air flow and frost drainage. This is one our primary defenses against plant pathogens. We primarily grow fruit but also are seed producers for heirloom seed companies. We seek to push the edges and produce products that aren't normally available if heard of at all, grown with the highest integrity, and working with the forces of our environment.
Practices
If we stop and think about it for a moment, the idea of consuming inexpensive food, all the while having to take vitamin supplements and pharmaceuticals to prop up our declining health seems like a darn good business plan.... for them. What if, on the other hand, we were to produce a superior food that is chock full of good nutrition, flavor, and other immune enhancing benefits and it left the earth in a better condition than before? Giving to future generations rather than borrowing from them?

Our farm's philosophy is to create abundance and balance through cultivating diversity. We do not use any synthetic chemicals that inhibit diversity such as pesticides, fertilizers, fungicides, etc. Rather we use common sense, intelligence, and life enhancing treatments. The balance we seek is to produce good food passively with a minimal amount of inputs. To have the fertility come from an earth based system rather than a bag of chemicals. Always asking, "what is appropriate to grow here?"

Our farm had been "borrowed from" for 100 years by previous farmers cultivation commodity crops like corn and wheat. We are slowly turning that around and farming the way we do actually speeds up the regenerative process for future generations. We are also biodynamic.

"We do not inherit the earth from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children"
